I'm thankful for you, Brandi

My most favoritest picture of my most beautiful, wonderful, talented, sweet, and amazing girlfriend and assistant. This was taken at a wedding this past summer, and it's also the photo I see when she calls me. I want to share this with you because I'm so very thankful for her. She's everything to me and I don't know what I'd do without her in my life. Brandi is everything I dreamt about and could have hoped to have. She's absolutely the most wonderful person ever, and I pray and thank God for her every day of my life. Thank you Brandi, and I'm so thankful for you.

Who are you hiring?

I'm blogging this week about myself, because I want you to know me. Also, because my girlfriend/second shooter/assistant/amazing best friend is shooting the wedding with me this weekend in Dallas, TX and we thought we'd get out and do some "For Fun" shots. Might I say I'm becoming quite a fan of how she sees things. 

But anyway, back to the message at hand. I wanted to tell you a little about myself in way that a "BIO" or "About ME" section couldn't do; I wanted to show you (along with a little narrative). 

So what exactly are you getting yourself into? Well, great question! I love coffee, sports, dogs, talking, shopping, giving advice, making dumb faces, smiling, sleeping, early morning sunrises, reading, Harry Potter, J. Crew, a wonderful pair of jeans, and house shoes. There's so much more to me than those things, but that should get you started. 

I prefer wrist straps over neck straps to my camera. I love shooting wide open (shallow depth of field). And I indeed, love the color red. 

Apparently I take my work very seriously. But I'm also not afraid to make a ridiculously retarded face at you either. 

I think the world is a better place when everyone is having a great time. I want people to laugh, to enjoy photography, to enjoy me as a photographer, and more importantly as a person. I want you to have a great time when we shoot, when we meet before we shoot, when we talk about meeting and shooting! As Buddy the elf once said, Smiling is my favorite!
