The Pearl Cup

This, my dear friends, was the best latte I've ever had. Upon arriving at Tiffany's apartment, we decided coffee was a great way to start off our shoot. I said, "Let's head to The Pearl Cup. I hear they have good latte's." Away we go!

Pulling up to the building located on Henderson in Dallas, we noticed the mint green colored building.

We stepped in and the nice lady with the embellished Pearl Cup apron on asked how we were, and if we'd ever been there before. We said, "no." I then proceeded to name drop.

"I've never been here, but I'm friends with a few guys who frequent this place quite often."

"Oh really? Who?"

"Andrew Shepherd @andrewshepherd and Shaun Menary @shaunmenary ?"

"Oh yes. Those two come in quite often. What will you have to drink?"

"I'd really like to try the Pearl Latte, hot, to go please."

"Oh good choice."

Tiffany: "What's the Pearl Latte?"

Then there was a grand discussion about the Pearl Latte, telling all who would listen they can't tell you what's in it, only that it was featured in few recent publications and voted as one of the top coffee drinks in the Dallas area.

Tiffany: "Sounds good, but can I have it iced?"

She got it iced. We waited anxiously for our drinks. We sat at a table in the center of the room and commented on the many things we liked about this particular coffee shop. The wood, the colors, the very small, peculiar vases which held very small flowers in the middle of the tables.

We heard our drink order shouted above the hubbub of the busy crowd who'd gathered.

Moment of truth.

Sip.

Foam.

Sip.

Goodness.

It was heavenly. Sips three, four, and five came immediately afterward.

Tiffany and I left, exclaiming how amazingly The Pearl Cup lived up to it's hyped up billing.

After leaving, we shot some pictures, went to dinner, and then out for a little night on the town. Upon waking this morning, (I spent the night on her couch), we looked at each other and I said, "I want some coffee." Tiffany replied, "I wish The Pearl Cup was right over there." (Pointing out her window to a spot to be understood as "nearby.")
