Dottie + Daisy: Goldendoodles

These are the latest edition to the James family! Dottie, the mother and larger of the two, and Daisy, her puppy, arrived at my place last night. They are wonderful big balls of fur. Both are extremely playful and lovable and think they are lap dogs. They're so sweet and gentle and so far, have just laid around the apartment.

Dottie is a "purebred" first generation Goldendoodle, which is a cross between a poodle and a golden retriever. She's about 55 pounds, but just the most gentle giant ever. Her coat is tight like the poodles, but a little stringy like a golden retriever. 

Daisy is one of Dottie's pups, and is half Goldendoodle and half poodle. She was was bred to be smaller, weighing in around 30 pounds. Her coat is a lot more silky and wavy than that of her mothers. 

Both look like little teddy bears and I feel so blessed to have the two of them. I'm sure there will be a ton of pictures posted, because really, how can you not love these two!

These are my two new girls! Beautiful dogs aren't they? I can't wait for more adventures with them.
